Comprehensive Pediatric Assessment

You’re not alone—families pursue assessments for many reasons, including:

  • Gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges their child is facing

  • Learning how to support their child’s well-being and learning

  • Informing school decisions or selecting appropriate therapeutic supports

  • Following a recommendation from a school or provider

An assessment offers a deeper understanding of your child’s unique profile—their strengths, areas to support, and what helps them learn, grow, and thrive.

Dr. Joy provides comprehensive neurodevelopmental/psychological and educational evaluations that are in-depth, collaborative, and strengths-based.

The goal of the evaluation is to uncover how the child or teen’s brain learns best and how to help them feel their best.

You will have the opportunity to understand your child’s specific neuro-profile, which includes assessing their cognitive, attention, executive functioning, memory, learning/academic, social, and stress and emotional regulation. Assessment includes cognitive, neuropsychological, educational, and social-emotional measures.

This in-depth understanding and analysis result in a specific roadmap of recommendations based on their profile for therapeutic support, educational needs, and family/home life.

Dr. Joy’s whole-child approach embraces the gifts that are unique to neurodivergence. Families appreciate her collaborative, warm, insightful, and empowering approach.
